HIKING & BIKING

Hiking opportunities range from a short stroll to an all day affair. The 20 mile Crater Rim Trail circumnavigates both East and Paulina Lakes on the caldera rim and is also popular with mountain bikers.

The Big Obsidian Flow Trailhead and Interpretive Site is a great place learn about the local geology and to see a recent (1300 year old) obsidian flow.
